Two Valencia CF players featured for their respective countries on Wednesday night, as the international break came to a close before a return to the Ciudad Deportiva.
Correia: Switzerland 0-3 Portugal (Under-21s European Championships)
Thierry Correia played the full 90 minutes for Portugall against Switzerland. A win took them into the quarter finals of the Under-21s European Championships as top of their group. Portugal will now play Italy -with Valencia CF player Patrick Cutrone- in the quarter finals.
Wass: Austria 0-4 Denmark (2022 World Cup Qualifying)
Denmark earned a comprehensive victory in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Daniel Wass a starter and played 77 minutes at right back.
Gayà: Spain 3-1 Kosovo (2022 World Cup Qualifying)
José Luis Gayà was an unused substitute in Spain's win over Kosovo, in a qualifying game for the 2022 World Cup.
